Hello again in my new weekly blog I am coming with an interesting topic. I would like to connect today's topic with a famous principle: if a person has control over any function, it can also be used to control the computer. To stick to this I will show the voice control systems in our everyday life. Some of you may have already figured it out. I will talk about Alexa, Google Assist and Siri.

I have less experience with Amazon Alexa so I will start with that. Amazon released its device in 2013 or as far as I know Amazon copied its device from Ivona. This assistant system works as an AI and with internet connection the user is able to voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic, sports, and other real-time information, such as news. Alexa is able to control a lot of smart home devices like lamp switch thermostat or car charging. The biggest advantage is Amazon lets users install third party software on the device. My first connection with Amazon Alexa is one of a South Park episode when they let two Alexa speech with each other. Let's move on to the Siri Apple assistant. Apple also bought the company originally Siri Inc wanted to develop assistants on Android, Ios and black berry devices as well until Apple bought the company in 2010. Siri can do everything that Alexa can expect from the third party installation and based on my experience Siri most effectively learn what the user likes and such, For example if I search a restaurant on Safari it will suggest that restaurant next time. If you want to know how smart Siri is, just watch the movie Her. Of course it does not work like that today but it will for sure in the future. My personal favorite and I use it day by day is Google Assistant which was developed from Google Now. Its release was in 2016 with Pixel phones, it is really smart and extremely compatible with any home automation device. It can make dialogue with a person and learn the user's habits.

I hope you enjoyed this week's blog meeting on Sunday.
